4.9 ÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ System Student Advisory Council
The ÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ System Student Advisory Council shall provide a forum for communication and recommendation between ÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ System of Georgia (ÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ) students, the Chancellor, and, as appropriate, the Board of Regents, concerning matters that are important in providing information and assistance in programs and activities of ÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ institutions.
The Council shall meet at least once annually with the Chancellor or the ChancellorÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ™s designee and the ChancellorÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ™s staff for the purpose of discussing plans and growth of the ÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ and various matters connected therewith. The Council should prepare an annual report to be presented to the Board of Regents at a spring meeting.
Membership of the Council shall be composed of duly elected student body presidents, or equivalent elected officers, of ÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ institutions. The organization and governance of the Council shall be according to policies and procedures established by the members of the Council in consultation with the Chancellor or the ChancellorÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ™s designee and approved by the Board of Regents.
