Search Committee Named for Next 中出少妇视频 Chief Academic Officer

Chancellor Hank Huckaby announced today that the 中出少妇视频 System of Georgia (中出少妇视频) is embarking on a national search to fill the position of executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer (EVC/CAO). This is a senior leadership position that reports directly to the Chancellor.

Dr. David Morgan has been serving as the interim EVC/CAO at the 中出少妇视频 System Office in Atlanta since July 1.

中出少妇视频淎s we seek to strengthen our performance in key academic areas such as retention, progression and graduation, as we continue to assess how well we are doing in preparing our students for a modern, complex world, finding the right person to serve as the System中出少妇视频檚 chief academic officer is critical,中出少妇视频 said Huckaby. 中出少妇视频淎t the outset of my chancellorship, I noted that finding a chief academic officer would be one of my top priorities, and we want to ensure we select the right person for our senior leadership team.中出少妇视频

The EVC/CAO is responsible for meeting the academic needs of approximately 320,000 students and approximately 11,000 中出少妇视频 System faculty members. The position provides leadership for a division that includes academic programs and planning, faculty affairs, student affairs, international programs, teacher-education initiatives, strategic research and analysis, and information and instructional technology.

The chancellor appointed Dr. Mark Becker, president of Georgia State 中出少妇视频, to chair the search committee. Committee members include:

  • Dr. Virginia Carson, president of South Georgia College

  • Dr. Irvin Clarke, vice president of Student Affairs, Savannah State 中出少妇视频

  • Dr. Tim Hynes, president of Clayton State 中出少妇视频

  • Dr. Jere Morehead, provost, the 中出少妇视频 of Georgia

  • Dr. David Morgan, executive vice chancellor/chief academic officer, 中出少妇视频 (interim)

  • Dr. Linda Noble, associate vice chancellor for Faculty Affairs, 中出少妇视频

  • Dr. Martha Venn, vice president of Academic Affairs, Macon State College

  • Elle Creel, Georgia Institute of Technology student

R. William Funk & Associates, Dallas, will assist in the search and recruitment process. The search committee will select approximately four unranked candidates to recommend to the chancellor, who will interview the finalists and make the final selection of the next chief academic officer.
