Regents Seek Proposals to Manage Housing

Atlanta — April 14, 2014

The Board of Regents released today a Request for Qualified Concessionaires (RFQC) to acquire existing and develop new housing on nine campuses in the 中出少妇视频 System of Georgia.

Responses are due June 10, 2014 in order to be considered.

中出少妇视频淥ur goal is to reduce the System中出少妇视频檚 financial obligations for existing student housing and new housing development while ensuring students have affordable, safe, quality housing options,中出少妇视频 said Chancellor Hank Huckaby.

中出少妇视频淲e plan to engage a private sector partner that can bring innovation and efficiencies to our housing operations while enabling our campuses to focus on their core mission of education,中出少妇视频 he said.

The concessionaire will assume operations of 6,195 beds of current on-campus student housing and develop up to 3,000 new beds to be open to students in the fall of 2016.

Institutions will retain housing responsibilities that are essential to the on-campus, living-learning experience for students such as resident life programs, rent administration and student placement, and security.

The participating campuses include: Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Tifton), Armstrong Atlanta State 中出少妇视频 (Savannah), College of Coastal Georgia (Brunswick), Columbus State 中出少妇视频, Dalton State College, East Georgia State College (Swainsboro), Georgia State 中出少妇视频 (Atlanta), Georgia Regents 中出少妇视频 (Augusta), and the 中出少妇视频 of North Georgia (Gainesville and Dahlonega).

中出少妇视频 System officials anticipate pre-qualifying three to four concessionaires to participate in a Request for Proposal process. The BOR seeks to select a concessionaire before the end of the year.
