First Georgia Apply to College Week

WHO: Georgia Apply to College Week

WHAT: The first Georgia Apply to College Week will be held November 11-13, 2008. The goal of this event, sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Foundation of Independent Colleges, the Georgia Student Finance Commission, the Technical College System of Georgia and the ÖгöÉÙ¸¾ÊÓƵ System of Georgia, and endorsed by the Georgia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (GACRAO), is to provide all Georgia high school seniors with the opportunity to apply to college using GAcollege411.org, with a focus on providing assistance to first generation students as they navigate the college application process.

WHY: During the Apply to College event at their high school, seniors will be given the opportunity to apply to college using GAcollege411.org. Volunteers from Georgia colleges and universities will be on hand to assist students as they complete their applications.
